Injection molding method 'DSI' that contributes to weight reduction with resin parts <Case presentation>
Quick and accurate molding even for complex internal structures of hollow bodies! A must-see for those struggling with resin conversion of metal parts, uneven wall thickness, and weak joint strength.
"DSI (Die Slide Injection Molding)" is an injection molding method developed by Japan Steel Works, Ltd. that allows for the rapid and accurate molding of complex internal structures, even in hollow bodies. After molding semi-finished products that are divided into multiple parts during the first injection, the mold is slid using a hydraulic mechanism to shape the hollow body. The melting and bonding are performed during the second injection. 【Features】 ■ Suitable for circuit components such as pipes and pumps through which fluids flow ■ Weight reduction through resinization contributes to cost reduction and decreases in power consumption and fuel efficiency ■ Capable of assembly molding and sealing molding with complex hollow bodies and insert parts ■ Contributes to reduced molding costs and increased productivity as no post-processing is required ■ Can accommodate three-dimensional uneven shapes on bonding surfaces ■ Easy control of wall thickness (1.5 to 5.0 mm) with high dimensional accuracy *You can view materials that include the molding process and resinization examples by downloading the PDF.
